Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- System Installation & Configuration: Install and configure AV systems, including displays, control systems, speakers, amplifiers, and network components according to project specifications.
- Technical Documentation: Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system diagrams for accurate installation and troubleshooting. Also, preparation of technical documentation required to complete a handover document for the customer at the end of a project.
- On-site Project Execution: Oversee and execute on-site installations, ensuring adherence to design plans and timelines.
- Testing & Commissioning: Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning of AV systems to ensure full functionality and compliance with customer expectations.
- Customer Interaction & Training: Provide system training to customers and ensure satisfaction with the final installation.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the design, sales, procurement and content management teams to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any technical challenges.
- Maintenance & Support: Capable of assisting in post-installation support, perform routine maintenance, and address service requests for installed AV systems.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all installations comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
Pre-Requisites:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience purely in AV installation and integration, specifically working on commercial AV projects.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Proficiency in AV control systems. (e.g. Crestron, Extron, AMX etc.)
- Familiarity with signal flow, cabling, and AV infrastructure, including video walls, projectors, digital signage, sound systems and conferencing solutions.
- Understanding of networking concepts relevant to AV systems, including IP addressing, routing, and AV-over-IP solutions.
- Certifications: Certifications from relevant industry bodies, such as AVIXA (CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D) or equivalent, are highly preferred.
- Tools & Software:
- Working knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Proficiency in using AV troubleshooting tools, such as multimeters, signal analyzers, and network testing equipment.
- Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for resolving system issues on-site quickly.
- Communication & Teamwork:
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with design, project management, and content teams.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours based on project demands.
- Driver’s License: Valid UAE driver’s license is preferable.
