Role Summary

Key Responsibilities:

1. System Installation & Configuration: Install and configure AV systems, including displays, control systems, speakers, amplifiers, and network components according to project specifications.
2. Technical Documentation: Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system diagrams for accurate installation and troubleshooting. Also, preparation of technical documentation required to complete a handover document for the customer at the end of a project.
3. On-site Project Execution: Oversee and execute on-site installations, ensuring adherence to design plans and timelines.
4. Testing & Commissioning: Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning of AV systems to ensure full functionality and compliance with customer expectations.
5. Customer Interaction & Training: Provide system training to customers and ensure satisfaction with the final installation.
6. Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the design, sales, procurement and content management teams to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any technical challenges.
7. Maintenance & Support: Capable of assisting in post-installation support, perform routine maintenance, and address service requests for installed AV systems.
8. Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all installations comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.

Pre-Requisites:

1. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience purely in AV installation and integration, specifically working on commercial AV projects.
2. Technical Knowledge: 
   1. Proficiency in AV control systems. (e.g. Crestron, Extron, AMX etc.)
   2. Familiarity with signal flow, cabling, and AV infrastructure, including video walls, projectors, digital signage, sound systems and conferencing solutions.
   3. Understanding of networking concepts relevant to AV systems, including IP addressing, routing, and AV-over-IP solutions.
3. Certifications: Certifications from relevant industry bodies, such as AVIXA (CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D) or equivalent, are highly preferred.
4. Tools & Software: 
   1. Working knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
   2. Proficiency in using AV troubleshooting tools, such as multimeters, signal analyzers, and network testing equipment.
5. Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for resolving system issues on-site quickly.
6. Communication & Teamwork:
   1. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
   2. Ability to work collaboratively with design, project management, and content teams.
7. Flexibility: Willingness to travel to project sites and work flexible hours based on project demands.
8. Driver’s License: Valid UAE driver’s license is preferable.
